Ten years after our last album ‘Snake & Apacolips’ we’ll release our new album called ‘From Now On’. Back then Kindamuzik described ‘Snake & Apacolips’ as “a Dutch masterpiece” and the late Live-XS described us as “one of the coolest bands from the Netherlands”. On November 7 we’ll present the new album at Ekko, Utrecht with a special live show. You can order the album now through Lukida. You’ll receive a signed copy (on cd or vinyl) and free tickets for the show.
Free concert 5 july

Sunday, 5 July Pondertone plays a free concert at the Koekoeksplein from 11:30 am. Bring your own folding chair. Coffee, tea and lemonade is sold on site. Because of the Tour de France a TV screen will be installed for the images to accompany the music. Admission is free , but a contribution is very much appreciated.
Because of the Tour de France the city centre is car free. So please come by bike. The Koekoeksplein is a 15-minute walk from Utrecht Central, which is about as long as it would take you by bus.
25 januari Peaking at Pondertone
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014On January 25 Pondertone will be performing in our own living room for Gluren Bij De Buren festival. Topics such as life, death, love and loneliness are combined with (mis)communication, dreams, drunken banter and wonder in this extraordinary musical experience. The performances are free to visit. After each performances you will be asked to make a voluntary contribution.

Bonus tracks Selotape Frankenstein unearthed

For the first time since their recording between 1998 and 2001, 12 bonus tracks can be heard. Three years ago I came across a cassette tape with ‘Pondertone live’ written on it. It happened to be a recording of my very first live appearance as such in 2001, presenting my debut album Selotape Frankenstein at O’Leary’s Irish Pub Utrecht. In the following weeks I dug deep into the Pondertone Archives and found loads of unreleased material. It’s with a mixture of melancholy and wonder that I present the magical Time Machine also known as ‘bonus tracks to Selotape Frankenstein’. Enjoy…
